Julian Quiros is a PhD student at the School of Social Policy and Practice working alongside Dr. Ezekiel Dixon-Román. Julian received his BA in Sociology from the University of Pittsburgh and MS in Social Policy and Data Analytics from the School of Social Policy and Practice. While at the University of Pittsburgh, Julian interned in the Bronx with lawyer and community activist Ramón Jiménez, and simultaneously worked with a construction coalition which assisted people of color and the formerly incarcerated obtain gainful employment. Most recently, Julian worked at the Philadelphia Department of Human Services for nearly three years as a Data and Evaluation Associate in their Performance Management and Technology Division. Julian's research interests include child welfare policy, critical policy studies, and algorithmic governance.
