GAPSA - Provost Fellowship for Interdisciplinary Innovation
Deadline: April 1 (Summer fellows)
The GAPSA-Provost Fellowship for Interdisciplinary Innovation is a program jointly funded by GAPSA and the Office of the Provost for the expressed purpose of fostering an interdisciplinary graduate and professional environment at the University of Pennsylvania. This highly competitive fellowship strives to promote original, student-derived initiatives that integrate knowledge across diverse academic disciplines. The fellowship is also meant to help the project leader(s) develop, pursue, and complete their proposed interdisciplinary initiatives.

Our Fellows are integral to the team as they research, coordinate, and help deliver programming for Family Center members and the Penn community. Summer Graduate Assistant Opportunity
The University of Pennsylvania Division of Student Engagement is seeking current Penn graduate and professional students who are interested in serving this summer as graduate assistants (GAs) for the Penn Rising Scholar Success Academy (PennRSSA), an adaptive, pioneering program serving rising seniors attending public and public charter high schools in the School District of Philadelphia. Sobti Family Fellowship
Deadline: April 3
The Sobti Family Fellowship will provide up to two Penn doctoral students with $12,500 each to develop independent research interests broadly related to CASI’s agenda. The Fellowship award will include an unrestricted $10,000* grant with the addition of up to $2,500 in reimbursed domestic travel expenses, conference attendance fees, and research materials. The award can be received in conjunction with existing graduate funding.
Ackoff Doctoral Student Fellowship
Deadline: April 3
Research grants of up to $4,000 for Penn doctoral students conducting research directly related to the Wharton Risk Center's current research agenda. Potential topics to receive funding must align thematically with one of our five research labs: (1) disaster risk management, (2) business, climate, and the environment, (3) risk communication & decision-making, (4) behavioral science & technology, and (5) political risk.
IES Predoctoral Training Program
Deadline: April 4
Multi-year, interdisciplinary fellowship and training program for current Penn Ph.D. students committed to learning rigorous methods for conducting actionable, equitable field-based research to inform policy and practice.
Graduate Fellow, Center for Africana Studies Summer Institute
Deadline: April 29
The Center for Africana Studies Summer Institute is an intensive, one-week pre-freshman program that introduces participants to major intellectual and cultural themes and currents in 19th, 20th, and 21st century African, African American, and other African Diaspora experiences. Our Graduate Fellows are the heart of the Institute and contribute to the program in impactful and meaningful ways. Graduate Fellows receive a stipend of $1,200.00 in addition to housing and meals during the week of the Institute (July 16-23, 2022). Additional benefits will be discussed during the interview process.
We seek graduate students who are interested in the field of Africana Studies, in advancing the mission of the Institute, and in enhancing the academic and intellectual experiences of the students who participate in our program. We prefer graduate students with teaching and/or residential program experience and some knowledge of African, African American, or other African Diaspora Studies, although these are not requirements for selection. Those selected to serve as Graduate Fellows also should be available during the 2022-23 academic year to participate in our Summer Institute Mentoring Program. Additional compensation is provided for participating in the Summer Institute Mentoring Program. Preference will be given to graduate students who can commit to participating in the program for at least two years. National Academies NRC Research Associateship Program (RAP)
Deadline: May 1
Paid graduate and postdoctoral research opportunities in science and technology at sponsoring federal laboratories and affiliated institutions. Citizenship requirements and eligibility criteria vary by research opportunity.
DOE Office of Science Graduate Student Research (SCGSR) Program
Deadline: May 4
The SCGSR program provides supplemental awards to outstanding U.S. PhD students (US citizens or lawful permanent residents) to pursue part of their dissertation research at a DOE laboratory/facility in areas that address scientific challenges central to the Office of Science mission.
Perry World House/Foreign Affairs Emerging Scholars Policy Prize
Deadline: May 11
This $10,000 prize recognizes outstanding essays with new ideas on how to tackle the world’s biggest policy challenges. Advanced PhD candidates and early career scholars from all disciplines are encouraged to apply, and the winning entries will be published in Foreign Affairs magazine.
CPRIT TRIUMPH Postdoctoral Fellowship
Deadline: June 30
Three-year multi-disciplinary postdoctoral fellowship program for trainees with Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degrees interested in clinical and/or translational cancer research at MD Anderson Cancer Center.
Teach for China Fellowship Program
Deadline: June 30
Teach For China is an educational non-profit program under The Lead Foundation. The fellowship program opens to all Chinese students graduating before July 15, 2022. Community Impact Fund

The Community Impact Fund provides small grants to support graduate student initiatives and activities that address racial, cultural, or gender-based bias. The goal of the fund is to help foster a community of mutual respect and intercultural understanding on campus, particularly among graduate and professional students. Campaign for Community

The Campaign for Community aims to strengthen our Penn community by finding ways to discuss and understand key issues that may appear to be difficult or intractable. The program provides grants of up to $1500 for projects and activities that help advance the Campaign's goals of encouraging mutual understanding, respect, and discussion among members of the community on important topics. Dirksen Congressional Center Congressional Research Grants

Eligibility: Students with a serious interest in studying Congress; a significant portion of the funds is awarded for PhD dissertation research
Data Incubator Data Science Fellowship
