Sydney Sofronici is a first year PhD student in the Electrical and Systems Engineering department. Originally from Galveston, Indiana, Sydney graduated from Purdue University with a degree in Biomedical Engineering before coming to Penn. Sydney's research interests lie in the intersection of electrical engineering and healthcare. Sydney is specifically interested in designing and building devices that can operate wirelessly within the human body to diagnose and treat conditions ranging from diabetes to epilepsy.
