2018-19 Cohort Rossiny Beaucejour

Rossiny Beaucejour joined the University of Pennsylvania’s Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mechanics PhD program in 2018 after working over 4 years in the defense industry. Rossiny is advised by Dr. Troy Olsson in the Electrical and Systems Engineering Department. His current research interests include developing Aluminum Nitride (AlN) and Aluminum Scandium Nitride (AlScN) materials for piezoelectric micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS) devices. Rossiny also serves on UPENN’s Doctoral Student Advisory Board for Diversity and the BEYA Campus Coordinator for the Engineering’s ODI. Outside of the University, Rossiny and his wife enjoy outdoor activities, entrepreneurship, and he is a founding member of Kusoma Technologies, a children’s book and media technology company. Rossiny received his Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Delaware and Masters in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park.
