Awards, Fontaine Society PhD Student Shaquilla Harrington Receives 2022 WOCAP Graduate Student Award

Congratulations to Shaquilla Harrigan, PhD candidate in Sociology and Fontaine Society Fellow, on being awarded the 2022 Women of Color at Penn (WOCAP) Graduate Student Award. Harrigan was a 2019-2020 Perry World House Graduate Associate and served as chair of the Graduate Sociology Society during the 2021-22 academic year. She also volunteers with an organization for African and Caribbean immigrants and refugees. 

The Women of Color Awards are given in recognition of individuals who have conscientiously endeavored to increase respect for women of color at Penn, University of Pennsylvania Health Systems, Presbyterian, Pennsylvania Hospitals and the Delaware Valley community. Awardees are selected for demonstrating exceptional leadership and services, their positive impact on the community, and commitment to enhancing quality of life for and/or serving as a role model for women of color.
