Marcelina is a first-year Ph.D. student in Biology. She received her Bachelor of Science in Brain and Cognitive Sciences and her Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science at the University of Rochester.  Fascinated by social learning and development in animals, Marcelina has worked with various species, including macaques, marmosets, and tree shrews.  She hopes to continue exploring how animals learn in different social contexts as she continues down her Ph.D. path.

Outside of her research interests, Marcelina enjoys running, skiing, and volunteering to teach STEM programs for girls.
