Hilary Whitham Sánchez is a PhD. candidate in the History of Art and Architecture Department at the University of Pennsylvania, specializing in twentieth-century arts of Africa, the Americas, and Europe. Her research has been supported by The Leonard A. Lauder Research Center for Modern Art at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and she is currently a Spotlight Lecturer at The Barnes Foundation. In 2015, she co-founded The Incubation Series, a collaborative curatorial program for art history and fine arts graduate students in partnership with non-profit cooperative art spaces in Philadelphia. Unique among peer institutions and in the region, Incubation Series has been supported by The Sachs Program for Arts Innovation since its inception. She holds an M.A. from the City University of New York and a B.A. from Fordham University.
