Daira is a Master of Public Administration Student at the Fels Institute of Government. She was born and raised in Lima, Peru. Nevertheless, she spent the last three years studying for her undergraduate degree in economics in England, UK. There, she was able to research about gender and labor economics in Peru, especially about the presence of women in the informal labor market. At Penn, she is part of the International Student Advisory Board (ISAB), Latin American Graduate and Processional Assembly (LAGAPSA), and Lipman Family Prize fellowship. When she is not studying at the Grad center, planning the next LAGAPSA event, or running to her next meeting, you will see her dancing, traveling around the world, listening to Latin American music, or working out!
