Casey (he/him) has a B.A. in Business Administration, specializing in Marketing, which he earned from LaSalle University in 2020. Before coming to the Graduate Student Center team, Casey worked in the School of Arts & Sciences Chemistry Department as an administrative assistant. Most notably during his time there, Casey helped with administrative work for the Penn Chemistry REU Program, a program that hosts 10-12 undergraduate students interested in chemistry from across the world in a ten-week summer research experience in the Chemistry Department. This experience provided academic growth through access to various technologies and research support that may not be available to them in their home institutions.
Casey was on the ground opening team for the Saxbys location in the LaSalle University business building in 2018. Saxbys implemented a student program at LaSalle as a test for opening more locations across universities and colleges in the country. Casey worked as a Team Lead during his time, which involved managing inventory, receiving goods, writing schedules, providing coaching and feedback for Saxbys headquarters and fellow team members, and participating in meetings for professional development for the remaining baristas. The biggest takeaway from this experience was the notion of servant leadership, which he tries to incorporate in his day-to-day life both professionally and privately.
Casey was born and raised in Philadelphia and has lived in Philadelphia his entire life. In his free time, Casey enjoys playing all types of video games on his computer with his friends, listening to and exchanging music, and watching the NFL and NBA. Casey prefers the winter, even though he was born in the middle of the summer. He also loves watching anime and reading manga and is trying to pick up video editing as a hobby. Casey loves sneakers, so you may notice his kicks before anything else.
