Academic & Intellectual Programs

Charlie Shrader is a sixth-year PhD candidate in musicology and a Fellow for Academic Programming at the Grad Center. His academic interests concern the overlapping spaces of aesthetics, economics, and technologies in 19th century European music. However, he has always had an interest in working with and for the graduate student body at Penn: he served as Music Department representative to SASgov for three years and was elected SASgov's VP for Social Activities for one year. At the Grad Center he has been involved in the planning and execution of general academic events, including a workshop on Systematic Review and a forthcoming panel on being interfaith in the academy.
